The wine growing areas around Buda and along the stretch of the Danube above Budapest belong here. In all the wine growing areas of the region, only white wines are produced, typically using reductive treatment. The role of international varieties is significant: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rhine Riesling, Tramini and Ottonel Muskotály. Though lovers of traditional local flavours can also find something special, represented by Leányka and the Ezerjó found in Mór, as well as by Olaszrízling. (more...)
